National Film Awards: Best actor Chanchal, actresses Joya, Shimu

Chanchal Chowdhury has been selected as the best actor while Joya Ahsan and Rikita Nandini Shimu have become the best actresses in the National Film Awards 2022.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Tuesday announced the winners of the awards to recognize the contributions of artists to the country's film industry.

Chanchal received the award for best actor in the lead role (male) for the film "Hawa" while Joya and Shimu jointly got it for best actress in the lead role (female) for the film "The Beauty Circus" and "Shimu".

"Kura Pokkhir Shunne Ura" produced by Muhammad Abdul Kaiyum and "Poran" produced by Md Tamzid Ul Alam were jointly selected for best film.
