3 killed after train hits goods-laden truck in M'singh

Three people were killed after Balaka Commuter train hit a sand-laden truck in Mymensingh Sadar upazila on Monday afternoon.

The accident happened at Char Raghurampur area around 1:30pm.

The train communication on the Mymensingh-Jharia route remained suspended after the accident.

It is learnt that some passengers were sitting in front of the engine of the train. Of them, three died on the spot and several injured. They were admitted to Mymensigh Medical College Hospital.

Mymensingh Kotwali Police Station OC Anwar Hossain said police members are trying to recover the bodies.
