Bangladesh's dream to win in the Test format on New Zealand soil was fulfilled last year. The Tigers also won in the ODI format in the recently-ended series. Now, their target is to manage wins in the T20s.
However, head coach Chandika Hathurusingha is eying the upcoming T20 World Cup scheduled to be held in the West Indies and the USA next year.
The men in red and green have not been a consistent team yet in the shortest format. Besides, the team has yet to taste victory in the format in New Zealand. Hathuru said that would be a tough task to do.
He said, "If you ask me how tough the task (to win in T20I in New Zealand), I will say we have not yet won any T20I match here. We sealed a victory in the ODI series but that was at the last game."
"The condition has a big role in how we want to play. At the same time, we are keeping our one eye on the T20 World Cup. That's why we are trying to arrange our plan for the tournament, and that is from now on. A total of 11 matches ahead of us from now along with BPL," Hathuru said.
