A youth who was arrested while trying to enter BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's cabin at Evercare Hospital in the capital without permission has given inconsistent information under remand, police told court on Tuesday.

"No concrete information was found during interrogation of the arrested Sujon in remand on why he wanted to enter Khaleda Zia's cabin and whose advise. However, it appears primarily that he entered the Evercare Hospital with an ill motive," said investigation officer of the case Bhatara Police Station's sub-inspector Monir Hossain.
Earlier, police produced Sujon before the court on Tuesday after his two-day remand was over. Then the IO pleaded to the court to keep himin jail until the end of investigation into the case.

Responding to the plea, metropolitan magistrate Farah Diba directed police to send him to jail.

Khaleda Zia has been undergoing treatment on the sixth floor of Evercare Hospital. On Saturday (December 23) afternoon, Sujon had suddenly entered the hospital. Then he went to the rest room of VIP Ward's doctors on the sixth floor and sought permission to meet Khaleda. After receiving information, police arrested him from the spot.
