Give us another chance to serve you again, Hasina tells Rangpur people

Awami League President Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday urged the party men and people to keep vigilance on the arsonists to resist the arson attacks and violence till January 7 election.

She also called upon the people to cast their votes for ALs Boat symbol candidates in the polls.

"BNP-Jamaat does not want to see stability in the country. So in the name of movement, they are creating violence and sabotage by arson attacks. Awami League wants to hold the election peacefully. So, keep vigilance on the arsonists and build strong resistance against those arson attackers and terrorists by voting for Boat on January 7. Cast your votes for ALs Boat symbol candidates in the polls," she said while addressing electoral public meeting at Pirganj Govt High School ground in Pirganj of Rangpur.

On Tuesday afternoon the rally was organized for Awami League nominated candidate of Rangpur-5 seat Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury. Among others, central and local Awami League leaders including Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury spoke in the public meeting.

Earlier on the day, the Prime Minister also delivered speech at two more public meetings at Rangpurs Taraganj Waqf Estate Govt College ground and Mithapukur Adarsha High School ground seeking votes for AL candidates.

The Awami League President also said, "Smart Bangladesh will be built by 2041 for the next generation. The Prime Minister wants to vote for the boat brand to continue development along with the basic rights of people."

The Prime Minister said, "No one will be left behind in the country. In digital Bangladesh, the youth is earning money by working not only at home but also abroad. Awami League government will work to solve the problem of education and unemployment of the people across the country.

At noon, she spoke as the chief guest at the public meeting of the candidate of that seat at Jaigir Adarsh High School ground in Rangpur-5 Mithapukur. Awami League nominated candidate Rashek Rahman also spoke there.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Hasina urged everyone to vote in the next election to strengthen the hand of Awami League to turn digital Bangladesh into smart Bangladesh.

The Prime Minister said "Our students and youth will develop into smart and efficient manpower. We will build them for the future and by 2041 Bangladesh will be developed, prosperous and smart Sonar Bangla."

Meanwhile, Awami League President warned every candidate of Awami League to avoid any kind of chaos as the party has opened the electoral path to participate in the election.

She also said, "You have to hold elections peacefully, to serve you again and ensure the victory of Awami League."

Referring to the people of Bangladesh as her own family, Sheikh Hasina said, "My father gave his life for the people of Bangladesh. I am also by your side, I will serve you."

She said, "During the Awami League government, peoples peace of mind, food at home and security of life were ensured and the people of the country got education, medical care and a good life."

Meanwhile, the head of government said that everyone should cooperate in organizing peaceful elections by avoiding conflicts and violence. The government is working to make the country more developed and prosperous. Whenever Awami League came to power by peoples vote, it worked for the development of the country and its people. Balanced development of every district of the country including North Bengal has been possible due to continuous power. Sheikh Hasina wants to vote again for the boat brand to create a smart and skilled population.

Earlier, at noon, the chief guest addressed the public meeting organized on behalf of the candidate of that seat at Targanj Waqf Estate Govt College ground of Rangpur-2 constituency. Central and local leaders spoke including Ahsanul Haque Chowdhury Duke, the candidate with the boat symbol.

The Prime Minister said, "My request to all of you (voters) is to please get up early in the morning and go to the polling station to vote in this January 7 election."

Seeking votes for Awami Leagues electoral symbol, the boat, Sheikh Hasina said, the boat is a symbol of the boat of Prophet Noah (AS), which saved mankind during the great flood. He also said that this boat is the boat in which you got freedom and improved your standard of living. "Will you vote for the boat, please promise me, raise your hands." The people present in the rally raised their hands and chanted in favour of the Boat.

The Prime Minister also said, "Some of the development programmes of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to make Bangladesh a country with no landless people and realize the dream of poverty alleviation remain incomplete. All people will have a beautiful life; We are working towards that goal.

Sheikh Hasina mentioned, she had lost her brother and parents in an emotional voice and said, "I have nothing to lose and nothing to gain." Sheikh Hasina said, if you are good, your life will be beautiful.

The Prime Minister also said, "My goal is that your children will have a good life from generation to generation."

The Prime Minister landed at Saidpur Airport in a commercial flight at around 11:00am and then addressed a roadside meeting in Taraganj. From there, after the public meeting in Mithapukur, she went to Joy Sadan in Fatehpur, Laldighi and her in-laws house in Pirganj. There, late husband Wazed Miars grave was visited and Fateha recited. Later she had lunch with family members. Later she addressed a public meeting in Pirganj. Bangabandhus youngest daughter and Sheikh Hasinas younger sister Sheikh Rehana was present on stage with her.

Earlier this year on August 2 this year at Rangpur Zilla School ground, on December 22, 2018, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina addressed a public meeting at the same ground in Pirganj. On December 31 in 2013, she attended a road meeting at Tarfmauza High School grounds and a party workers meeting at Fatehpur Joy Sadan in Laldighi.
