Bangladesh Kalyan Party chiarman Maj Gen (Retd) Syed Muhammad Ibrahim has sent a letter to the Election Commission (EC) alleging that the workers and supporters of the present Awami League MP in Cox's Bazar-1 constituency are obstructing his election campaigns.
Ibrahim, who is a candidate from Cox's Bazar-1 (Chakaria-Pekua) constituency, alleged that creating obstruction to his polls campaign, the present AL MP Zafar Alam made allegation against him.
Along with the letter, he also sent a list of people obstructing his election campaign on Wednesday (December 27).
In his letter, Ibrahim also alleged that the independent candidate of Cox's Bazar-1 seat and present MP Zafar Alam along with local union parishad chairmen and local terrorists holding party posts have been threatening and intimidating his workers and supporters. They have also been spreading propaganda against him, he said.
Ibrahim also requested the CEC to take necessary legal steps attaching a list of terrorists with the letter.
