EC orders withdrawal of three OCs in Faridpur

The Election Commission (EC) has instructed to withdraw three police officers-in-charge (OCs) in Faridpur district to ensure a free, fair, and impartial 12th parliamentary election.

EC Deputy Secretary Md Mizanur Rahman in this regard issued the directive to the senior secretary of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday.

The three OCs are Md Shahidul Islam of Faridpur Kotwali police station, Mamun Al Rashid of Sadarpur police station, and MA Jalil of Bhanga police station.

Earlier, on December 24, EC had ordered the transfer of Faridpur Police Superintendent Md Shahjahan and he was subsequently relocated on December 26 by the ministry.
