Ferry movement at Narsinghpur Ghat on Shariatpur-Chandpur route has returned to normal after being closed for six and a half hours due to dense fog. After the fog subsided, the ferry service resumed from 9:30 am on Monday.

According to Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC), there are five ferry traffics on Shariatpur-Chandpur route. Three ferries are plying daily as per roster as there is no pressure of vehicles.
BIWTC's Narsinghpur Ghat Co-Manager (Commercial) Iqbal Hossain said the density of fog in the river increased from 3 am. Then ferry service was stopped to avoid accidents. Later, on Monday at 9:30am, the service was normal.
