Army chief visits troops deployed in Jashore, Savar, Dhaka

Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed on Thursday visited and inspected the activities of army in Jashore, Savar and Dhaka, who were deployed under In Aid to the Civil Power on the occasion of the 12th parliamentary election scheduled to be held on Sunday.

During the visit, he witnessed the activities of the deployed army personnel and exchanged views with on duty army personnel and provided them with necessary guidance, said a press release of the Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR).

The army has been deployed across the country since yesterday (January 3) to provide assistance to the civil administration under the In Aid to the Civil Power in the 12th parliamentary election, the release added.
