Shariatpur-Chandpur ferry service resumes after 10 hrs

The ferry movement on the Shariatpur-Chandpur route has returned to normal after being closed for 10 hours due to dense fog.

BIWTC Ghat Authority normalized the ferry service from 9 am on Saturday (January 6).
Earlier, on Friday, the ferry service on the route was stopped from 11:30 pm.

BIWTC Narsinghapur ferry ghat manager Iqbal Hossain said heavy fog appeared on Friday night. To avoid accidents in the fog, ferries are closed on this route from 11:30 pm. Later, when the sense fog cleared, the ferry service was resumed at around 9 am on Saturday. Currently, five ferries ply on the route.
