Fire at two polling centres in M'singh

Fire broke out at two polling centres in Mymensingh's Nandail and Gafargaon upazilas on Saturday.

The fire incidents took place at Parshipara Government Primary School under Gafargaon union at around 4 am and Haripur Government Primary School under Nandail's Singrail union of the upazila at around 9 am.
Nandail Police Station officer in-charge Abdul Majeed said the cause behind the blaze at the centres is being investigated.

Gafargaon Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Shafiqul Islam said that the fire service personnel brought the fire under control. An investigation is underway to identify whether it was an electric short-circuit or sabotage. The fire did not cause much damage.
