Shariatpur polling centre set on fire

Miscreants set fire to a polling centre in Shariatpur's Naria upazila early Saturday.

Several benches of the center were burnt in the fire incident.
The incident took place at Charmohan Sureshwar Primary School polling centre under Gharishar union in the upazila.

According to locals and police, miscreants set fire to the window of the school in Gharishar at midnight. Sensing the presence of locals, the miscreants fled. Later, local UP chairman and the local people brought the fire under control.

Gharisha UP Chairman Abdur Rob Khan said local people informed me about the fire at midnight. Later, we all brought the fire under control.

Shariatpur Police Super Mahbubul Alam confirmed it.
