Young man crushed under train at Sreemangal

SREEMANGAL, MOULVIBAZAR, Jan 7: A young man was crushed under a train in Sreemangal Upazila of the district on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Shipon Debnath, son of Sunil Debnath, a resident of Tikria Village in the upazila.
Quoting local peopole, Md Kamal Uddin, sub-inspector (SI) of Sreemangal Railway Police Station (PS), said locals spotted the body of Shipon near Bharaura Tea Garden in the afternoon and informed police.

On information, police recovered the body at around 3 pm and sent it to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Police assumed that Shipon might have been crushed under a train in the morning.

However, an unnatural death case was filed with Sreemangal Railway Police Sation in this regard, the SI added.
