Man crushed under wheels of train in Coxs Bazar

COXS BAZAR, Jan 7: A man died after being crushed under the wheels of a train on his way home after casting vote in the 12th parliamentary election  Ramu upazila of Coxs Bazar on Sunday.  

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Ali of Ramu upazila.

Ramu Police Stations Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Taher Dewan confirmed the matter, saying that the man met the tragic end when he was returning  home from a polling centre after casting vote as he was crushed under the wheels of Chattogram-bound Coxs Bazar Express train.

The accident happened just a few yards off the Ramu Railway Station, he added.    —UNB
