Man dies being crushed under Cox’s Bazar express train

A farmer died after being crushed under wheels of Cox's Bazar Express train at Eidgaon upazila in Cox's Bazar district on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Abdus Sattar, 45, a resident of Jumchhari area of the Islampur union under the upazila.
The incident happened at around 8:00 am on Wednesday.

Eidgaon Police Station officer-in-charge (OC), Shuvo Ranjan Chakma, confirmed the matter adding that the Cox's Bazar Express train ran over the man when he was going to his work in the Islamabad union, leaving him dead on the spot.
