Foreign envoys attend swearing in ceremony at Bangabhaban

Almost all diplomats in Dhaka, including the US Ambassador Peter Haas, UK High Commissioner Sarah Cook, Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma, Ambassador of Russia Alexander Mantytsky, and Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen attended the oath taking ceremony of the new government held at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban, official residence of President, on Thursday.

Envoys of other countries also attended the oath taking ceremony.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered the oath of office to the new Cabinet at 7:00pm. Cabinet Secretary M Mahbub Hossain moderated the event.
