Suspected thief killed in Bhola lynch-mob attack

A suspected cattle thief was killed in a lynch-mob attack in Bhola's Borhanuddin upazila on Thursday

The deceased was Alauddin Bepari, 45, a resident of Baro Manika union of the upazila.
Locals said the man was detained on suspicion of stealing a cow and beaten up by local people.

He was rescued and admitted to Borhanuddin Upazila Health Complex from where he was referred to Bhola Sadar Hospital for better treatment. Later, he died on the way to Barishal for better treatment on Thursday evening.

Borhanuddin Police inspector Alauddin said legal action is underway in this regard.
