Warrant issued against Evaly's CEO, his wife Shamima

A Magistrate court on Monday issued an arrest warrant against e-commerce company Evaly's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohammad Rassel and his wife Shamima Nasrin, also a co-founder.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ali Hayder issued the order.

Lawyer Sadiqur Rahman Tomal confirmed the matter.
As Russel and Shamima were not appeared today, the arrest warrant was issued.

On September 15, 2021, a customer named Arif Baker filed a money laundering case with Gulshan Police Station accusing Russel and his wife Shamima Nasrin.

The next day, RAB raided a flat in Dhaka's Mohammadpur and arrested the couple. Later, they were shown arrested in cases filed in different police stations on charges of fraud.

Later, the couple have been freed on bail at different times.
