BIWTC’s engineer found dead at a residential hotel in city

An executive engineer of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) has been found dead at a residential hotel in the capitals Nayapaltan area.
The deceased was Abbas Uddin, 55. He was the executive engineer of BIWTCs Chattogram Sadarghat.
He came to Dhaka from Chattogram on January 13 for his office work and boarded at Hotel The Capital in Nayapltan, it was learnt.
Abbas Uddin was scheduled to leave the hotel on Tuesday. Getting no response from phone calls, the hotel authorities informed the matter to police, said Paltan Police Station SI Md Kamrul Islam quoting the hotel authorities.
Later, police recovered the body from a room in the hotel breaking open the door and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue at night. The reason behind his death will be clear after getting an autopsy report
