All educational instts closed in Kurigram

The authorities have closed all educational institutions--primary and secondary levels-- in Kurigram district as temperature bellow 10 degrees Celsius.

District Primary Education Officer Novez Uddin Sarkar and District Education Officer Md Shamsul Alam took the decision after the temperature was recorded 9 degrees Celsius this morning.

Shamsul Alam said the decision has been taken as per the instructions of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE). 
A letter is being issued announcing the closure of all secondary-level educational institutions. This decision will remain in force until further notice is issued.

Kurigram Rajarhat Meteorological Office's acting officer Subal Chandra Sarkar said at 9am, the  temperature was recorded 9 degrees Celsius.

Mild cold wave is sweeping over the district for the last few days.
