Hasan reaches Uganda to join NAM, G77 South summits

Foreign Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on Friday reached Uganda to represent Bangladesh in the 19th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit and G77 Third South Summit.

Bangladesh High Commissioner to Kenya and Uganda Tareque Muhammad welcomed the foreign minister upon his arrival at the Entebbe International Airport this afternoon, said a press release.

Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen and Bangladesh Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Muhammad Abdul Muhith are also in the Bangladesh delegation to join the two summits.

Hasan Mahmud is likely to leave Uganda for Dhaka on January 22 after attending the two international conferences.    —BSS
