Cold wave likely over country in 24 hrs

The temperature may further drop across the country as there is no cloud in the skies, according to the prediction of the Met Office.

The cold wave is likely to sweep over the country in 24 hours, in a bulletin, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said on Saturday.

The temperature may fall from Saturday night.

Besides, there may be thick fog in the river basins of the country from Saturday midnight to Sunday morning, it said.

The lowest temperature in the country was recorded at 9.5 degrees Celsius in Sreemangal of Moulvibazr on Saturday, while the highest temperature 27.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Chattogram’s Sitakunda and Sandwip upazilas, Feni and Cox’s Bazar districts.
