Joy reappointed info, communication tech adviser to PM

Sajeeb Wazed Joy has been reappointed as honorary information and communication technology adviser to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

According to a circular issued today (Sunday) signed by Director (administration) of the Prime Ministers Office M Ahsan Kibria Siddique, Joy was appointed as the PMs adviser under the 3 (B) (1) of the Rules of Business, 1996.

Prime Ministers assistant press secretary MM Emrul Kayas confirmed the news to the state news agency BSS.

Joy would carry out his duties in line with instructions and suggestions of Prime Minister and President of the ruling Awami League Sheikh Hasina.

Following landslide victory in the January 7 general election, Sheikh Hasina on January 11, 2024 formed a 37-member cabinet and appointed six advisers.

The advisers are Dr Mashiur Rahman, Dr Gowher Rizvi, Dr Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, Maj Gen (retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique, Salman Fazlur Rahman and Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury.

Except Kamal Abdul Naser, five others were also advisers to the Prime Minister during her previous term.
