Exhibition of Japanese Doll at Shilpakala Academy on Feb 2

The Japan Foundation in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh will hold an exhibition of Japanese Dolls titled 'NINGYO- Art and Beauty of Japanese Dolls' at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) here.

"NINGYO" means "dolls" in Japanese, a press release said here today.
 
The event will remain open to visitors till February 16.
 
In the exhibition, the themes have been divided into four sections: "Ningyo to pray for children's growth," "Ningyo as fine art," "Ningyo as folk art," and "Spread of Ningyo culture.

The exhibition will help explore the Japanese doll and its culture nurtured in the history and folklore of Japan, according to the release.
