Rail communication with Rajshahi suspended

The authorities suspended rail communication between Rajshahi and the rest of the country on Monday as the railway line was broken due to severe cold in Nandangachhi station area in Rajshahi district.

The incident took place in the morning when the Barendra Express train from Nilphamari's Chilahati was moving towards Rajshahi through the rail track.

Bangladesh Railway Western Zone General Manager Asim Kumar Talukder said, ''Our engineer went to the spot after receiving information about the incident. Rail traffic will be normal after the repair of rail track is completed.''
