WFE Board accepts CSEs application for full membership

The World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) has approved the application of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) for its full membership at its Board meeting held recently, says a press release.
CSE has been an Affiliate Member of the WFE since 2013 and has been a Corresponding Member since 1996. As per the policy of the WFE, CSE applied for the Full Membership of WFE. CSEs application for WFE full membership has been approved after analyzing requisite papers & documents and the On-Site Inspection (OSI) by the Desktop Review (DTR) Team consisting of representatives from Borsa Istanbul, Bursa Malaysia and The Egyptian Exchange as assigned by the WFE.
The WFE has inspected CSE in a series of separate virtual interviews with CSEs key stakeholders, including government authorities such as the Ministry of Finance, BSEC, Bangladesh Bank, AML Supervisor, CDBL, CCBL, Brokers, Issuers and Exchanges Senior Management in January 2024.
It is mentionable here that the WFE is the global industry group for exchanges and clearing houses (CCPs) around the world. It represents most of the worlds exchanges including over 250 market infrastructures ranging from those that operate the largest financial centers to those that run frontier markets. It was established in 1961 and headquartered in London.
