2 Ijtema devotees killed in accident on way to join Akheri Munujat

Two Ijtema devotees were killed and 11 others injured when a covered van hit an autorickshaw at Shilmun of Tongi in Gazipur on Sunday morning.

They were going to join Akheri Munajat there.

The deceased were identified as Jonny, 18, son of Monir Hossain; and Sohel, 40, son of Kajal Mia. They were the residents of South Sadharchar village in Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi.
The injured were admitted to nearby hospital.

Tongi East Police Station OC Mostafizur Rahman said the accident occurred around 7am before the Akheri.
