Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested a man along with 3,280 pieces of Yaba pills from Sadullapur upazila in
Gaibandha district on Monday.
The arrested is Abdul Alim Mia, 42, hailed from Ujanijora village under Debidwar upazila in Cumilla district.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in Hasanpara area under Dhaperhat union of the upazila early Monday and arrested Alim red-handed along with the
drugs, reads a press release, signed by RAB-13 Gaibandha Camp Flight Lieutenant (media) Mahmud Bashir Ahmed.
According to the press release, Alim confessed to his involvement in the drugs smuggling during primary questioning.
Later, he was handed over to Sadullapur Police Station after filing a case against him under Narcotics Control Act, added the press release.
