Dhaka Customs seeks improved cargo mgmt at SHIA

Dhaka Customs House Commissioner AKM Nurul Huda Azad met Biman Bangladesh Airlines Managing Director and CEO Shafiul Azim (Additional Secretary) regarding the development of cargo management at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Commissioner of Dhaka Customs House paid a courtesy call on Bimans head office on Monday, says a press release.

In the meeting, various issues including development of Dhaka as a cargo hub, introduction of freighters, transit/transfer cargo management process, construction of wire house, integration of customs system with air cargo distribution system, simplification of import-export system were discussed.

At this time director of administration and human resources of Biman Siddikur Rahman (Joint Secretary), Director Cargo Kamrul Hasan Khan, NDC (Joint Secretary), Director Marketing and Sales Mohammad Salahuddin, Additional Commissioner of Dhaka Customs House Kazi Farid Uddin and senior officials of Biman Cargo Department were present.
