Expressway crane falls on rail line, all trains halted for an hour

Train services of Dhaka with the rest of the part were halted for an hour after a crane, used for the construction work of the Dhaka Elevated Expressway, fell on the railway tracks.

The incident occurred near the FDC gate in Karwan Bazar at around 6:40am.

Dhaka Railway Police Station acting OC Ferdous Ahmed said suddenly a crane, used for the construction work of the Dhaka Elevated Expressway, fell on the rail line. Following the incident, train communication of Dhaka with the other parts of the country remained suspended till 7:30am.
The train services resumed after removing the crane, he added.

No causality was reported.
