Painter dies from electrocution in Tangail

A painter died from electrocution in Tangail's Kalihati upazila on Monday morning.

Deceased Sifat Mia, son of Siddique Hossain, was a resident of Chakpara village under the upazila.
Police said Sifat was painting a five-storey building at Elenga Bazar in the morning. At that time, he came in contact with a live electric wire of 11,000 volts on the side of the building and fell down. His whole body was burnt. He died on the spot.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Tangail General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Kalihati Police Station sub-inspector Mubarak confirmed it.
