A mobile court in Naogaon has detained 59 fake examinees from a centre in Sapahar upazila for taking part in the ongoing Dakhil examination as the proxy exam.
The centre secretary was also detained in connection with the incident.
On secret information, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Masud Hossain conducted a raid at Sorfutullah Fazil Madrasah in the morning and detained them from there while the examination was going on.
Around 10:30am, a mobile court team led by UNO Masud Hossain went to the centre and found that there were no similarities between the examinees with their respective admit cards.
According to mobile court and local sources, a total of 757 examinees, out of 777, were taking part in their Arabic-2 exam at 20 rooms of the centre. Suddenly in the morning, the UNO went there to visit the centre. Then he detained 59 examinees for not finding their facial similarities with their respective admit cards and also detained the centre secretary.
Of the 59 detainees, 15 are male and 44 are female.
