Man jailed for life in Narail drug case

A Narail court on Sunday sentenced a man to life term imprisonment in a drug case filed in 2012.
District Additional and Session Judge Muhammad Akram Hossain handed down the verdict on Sunday. The court also fined him Tk 20,000, in default, he will have to suffer six months more in jail.
The convict was Torikul Islam, hailed from Monirampur Thana in Jashore district.
According to the prosecution, on December 28 in 2012, police detained Torikul with 60 bottles of phensidyl at Pedli village under Kalia upazila.
Following this incident police filed a case with Kalia police station and later pressed the charge sheet against him.
