Govt to give financial assistance for burial of Bailey Road fire victims

The government will provide financial assistance for the burial of the victims, who died in Bailey Road fire incident on Thursday night, said State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Mohibur Rahman.

He said Tk 25,000 will be given from the ministry to support the burial of each deceased. Besides, the government will also bear the medical treatment cost of those injured in the blaze.

The state minister told this after visiting the site at around 10am. He also assured that support will be extended to the victims' families in the future as per their needs.
At least 46 people died in a fire that broke out in a commercial building housing the Kacchi Bhai restaurant at Bailey Road in the capital on Thursday night.
