Detective Branch (DB) of police on Saturday arrested nine members of a juvenile gang (Kishor Gang) along with a large number of arms and ammunition in Jashore while they were preparing for a robbery operation.
They were arrested from the south side of Raipara Railway Station’s pond in the city based on secret information.
The arrested were identified as Kapil Chandra Saha Chayan, 29, Amin, 44, Imon Molla, 19, Oyon, 19, Munna Islam Sagar, 21, Hasibur Rahman Ratul, 19, Rafidul Islam Rohan, 19, Nayan Sheikh, 19, and Rifatul Islam Niva, 19.
A total of 11 local arms were recovered from their possession, according to a press release of Jashore District DB Police.
The arrested were involved in various criminal activities including robbery, theft, hijacking and drugs dealing, said the release.
SI Nur Islam filed two separate cases with Kotwali Model Police Station in this regard.
