Five gold bars recovered along Jhenaidah border

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Saturday recovered five gold bars along a border under Maheshpur upazila in Jhenaidah district.


HM Salahuddin Chowdhury, captain of BGB-58, confirmed the matter.


He said a team of the battalion, on a tip-off, conducted a drive in Matila bordering area and recovered the gold bars worth Tk 4.5 crore.


However, the smugglers managed to flee the scene, he added.
