Poetry evening at DU on March 10

A colourful poetry evening on the works of Dhaka University (DU) Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Muhammad Samad, an Ekushey Padak winner in the language and literature category, will be held on March 10.

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof ASM Maksud Kamal will inaugurate the programme in the Osman-Jamal Auditorium at the Fine Arts Faculty of the university.

The event will begin at 6:00pm with prominent reciter, actor and political personality Asaduzzaman Noor in the chair.
Prof Samads poems and his favourite songs will be performed by famous reciters and musicians of the country.

Fiction writer Anisul Hoque will deliver speech on Samads poetry while DU Fine Arts Faculty Dean Prof Nissar Hossain will address the function, among others.

At the end of the cultural event, Prof Samad will express his feelings.
