Six injured over land dispute in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR, Mar 8:  Six people including a sub-inspector (SI) of police died in a clash between rival groups over land dispute in Nazirpur Upazila of the district on Tuesday.
 
Locals said, the enmity over a piece of land   between Lutor Sheikh and Kamal Sheikh of Patilakhali Village in the upazila  was for long. Centring this issue on Tuesday, both parties were locked into  clash about at 9 am.

While passing the area, the SI came forward asking to stop the clash. At one stage, he got injury along with Kamal Sheikh, 40, Md Alamin Sheikh ,30,  Jewel Sheikh , 31, Lutfor Sheikh, 65,  and his son Shefon Sheikh, 24.
 
Critically injured SI  Md Mosarof Hosen, 40,   of Nazirpur  Police Station (PS) has sent to Gopalgong Medical Collage and Hospital for better treatment.
