Man dies trying to get on moving train

A man died after after he slipped and fell down while trying to board a moving train at Birampur upazila in Dinajpur district on Saturday.

The incident happened at Birampur Railway Station under the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Nayan, 44, a resident of Natin Bazar area in the upazila. He was a egg trader by profession.

Shafiqul Azam, in-charge of Parbatipur Railway Police Station confirmed the matter, adding that the incident happened when Nayan slipped and fell under the train while trying to board on Dhaka-bound Drutojan Express train at the railway station. His head was crushed under the wheels of the train.

He was rushed to the Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead, added the police official.
