4 killed as fish-laden truck turns turtle in Cumilla

Four people were killed after a fish-laden truck turned turtle on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway early Tuesday.

Three more people were also injured in the accident that took place in Cumilla's Eliotganj around 5:30am.

The deceased were Rafiqul Islam of Satkhira district and Monir Hossain, Habibur Rahman and Akhter Hossain of Bhola's Monpura, Eliotganj Highway Police Station OC Manzurul Alam confirmed.
He said around 5:30am, a truck, carrying fishes, was heading towards Daudkandi. Suddenly, the drive lost control over the steering and turned turtle on the highway, four workers got stuck under the vehicle and died on the spot.

Three people were also injured and they were admitted to Chandina Upazila Health Complex.
