Bus kills woman in Shahbagh

A woman was killed after being crushed under the wheels of a bus in the capital's Shahbagh area on Tuesday morning.

The identities of the deceased, aged around 50, could not be known immediately.
Confirming the matter, Shahbagh Police Station officer-in-charge Mostazirul Islam said a 'Savar Paribahan' bus ran over the woman when she was crossing the road, leaving her critically injured.

She was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the physicians declared her dead, said the OC.

Police also have arrested the bus driver and its helper in this connection, added the OC.
