Dhaka Bank signs two participation agreements with Bangladesh Bank

Dhaka Bank PLC has recently signed two participation agreements with Bangladesh Bank (BB) for providing Credit Guarantee for Women entrepreneurs under Tk 3,000 crore Refinance Scheme and Guarantee facilities for Agro-product processing sector under Tk 1,400 crore refinance Scheme. The Signing ceremony was held in the Jahangir Alam Conference Hall, Bangladesh Bank, Head Office, Main Building, Dhaka recently, says a press release.
The facilities aim to help those eligible Cottage, Micro and Small Sized Women Enterprises (WEs) who do not have sufficient collateral security to avail loan, investment facility from the PFIs and to assist those eligible Cottage, Micro, Small and Medium Sized Agro Processing Enterprises (AgroEs) who do not have sufficient collateral security to avail loan, investment facility from the PFIs.
Emranul Huq, Managing Director and CEO of Dhaka Bank PLC and Nahid Rahman, Director, CGD, Bangladesh Bank signed the two agreements on behalf of the respective organizations. Nurun Nahar, Deputy Governor, Bangladesh Bank, Md. Jamal Uddin, Executive Director, BB and Md. Mahbubur Rahman Palash, Executive Vice President and Head of MSME and Emerging Business Division, Dhaka Bank PLC and other senior officials of the Central Bank were also present during the Participation Agreement Signing programme.
