Ramadan is the most significant and blessed month for the worlds Muslims. All the Muslims, the people who surrendered to Allah, are ordered via the Al Quran by Almighty Allah to fast for this whole month for all the capable people according to their holy guidance. In Fasting, they are forbidden to eat from daybreak till the Azan of Magrib. Its mandatory that the fasting person can eat a little bit of any kind of food. This religious guidance also emphasized refraining from all evil practices such as indecency and social disturbance.

As a Muslim country, belonging to the majority of Muslim people, its a common and easily presumable thing that the social and economic, cultural, societal norms will be affected by this religious belief and this holy month will be the reflection of those. The effect will be shown and affected by their religious beliefs in the market, and all other public-related matters, including business, marketing, and production. These are the facts that are used as a factor in the different purposes.

Ramadan, the month of purification, seems that all the people get the amenities and the most convenient environment to decontaminate themselves. It is the month when the practice of good deeds increases. All the Muslims and Non-Muslims help each other by doing good deeds. All the people become soft-hearted and show kindness to each other in almost every movement. The non-muslim people also respect those activities specially performed religious activities during Ramadan.

Several repetitive problems arise every year centering on Ramadan. The worst matter of this month is also related to the market of different daily usable products during Ramadan. Ramadan creates the need for some extra consumable goods especially. The demand for food such as dates, chickpeas, sugar, fruits, and so on increases. Almost all the consumable healthy foods that are very much consumed in Ramadan stay at the attraction point of the businessman. As the demand increases the dishonest and clever seller hikes the price. Even most of the big dealers gather those consumable goods to make shortages avoiding the rules and laws related to the storage of the goods. It makes the market unstable and becomes the reason for distress.

A lot of restaurants, fast food, and bakery shops display their delicious and spicy food for sale to the customers beside the main road. Sometimes the open restaurant can be the reason for irritation and annoyance to the fasting. Most of the tea shops display Television to attract their customers. They also listen to songs or watch movies with high volume which can bother the person who keeps fast. This scenario is not adjustable to the religious circumstance of Ramadan-there is a need to cover all kinds of delicious food displayed to the customer shops and the volume should decrease.

If we compare our market scenario, rate of consumable goods, and decisions taken by the top authority, the harsh reality will be easily graspable. During Ramadan, its special goods supply chain is interrupted by the miscreant syndicate which is an inhumane activity. Almost all Muslim countries businessmen declare a lot of discounts on the most consumable goods, promote religious beliefs by showing kindness, and extend a helping hand to the poor during Ramadan. Their good initiative is for various social and spiritual betterment of humankind.  But the scenery is opposite to them. We the Bangladeshi sellers and businessmen take advantage of the increasing demand to sell them at the highest price and make as much profit as they want.

Not only is the problem related to price hikes but also a matter of concern is adulteration. The dishonest seller takes advantage of a soft-hearted person who keeps fast during Ramadan. They mixed illegal ingredients with the most consumable goods in Iftar and Sehri. Many illegal and unregistered companies make the copy of the most renowned goods and drinks in Ramadan using this demand in Sehri.

All of the mismanagement related to controlling the market is identified as a common appearance in our country. The government takes action for the persecution of this highly concerned problem related to the market. But this action becomes in vain at last. The administration declares its hard position but cannot finally hold it. In this situation, the businessman performs his business activities according to the rules and regulations of both religious and domestic business policy, which is undoubtedly precious for us.

During Ramadan, those are the harsh realities that hamper the serenity of the month. It is the month of worship and gives a proper environment, to be honest for all Muslims. But the news of price hikes, adulterations, and any other social disaster heartens us. Everyone should be careful about making the month more reformers and making the market more convenient for the betterment of middle-class families. Imports and exports of goods from foreign countries should be monitored for the price from the local market to wholesalers. Business ethics should also be followed by the seller who should cooperate with the government to stabilize the market. Above all, the lessons we learn from Ramadan will also apply to every sector of our personal, societal, and national life. The government should strictly monitor the worst market scenery centered on the blessed Ramadan.
