SSC examinee dies being hit by truck

An SSC examinee was killed after being run over by a truck in Manikganj's Sadar upazila on Thursday morning.

The accident took place around 9 am in Jagir area under the upazila.
The dead was Kausar Hossain, 16, son of Abdur Rahman, a resident of Janna village under Fukurti union in Saturia upazila. He was an SSC examinee from Manikganj Government Technical School and College.

According to police, Kausar participated in the SSC examination and completed all the written examinations. In the morning, he was going to participate in agriculture practical riding on a motorcycle. On the way, a truck ran over him in that area. He died on the spot.

Gola Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sukhendu Basu said that the truck was seized after the accident but the driver of the truck fled. Legal action is under process in this regard, the OC added.
