Gazipur gas cylinder blast

Three-member probe committee formed

A three-member probe committee was formed on Thursday to investigate the gas cylinder explosion in Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur on Wednesday that left 35 people injured.

Gazipur Fire Service and Civil Defence Deputy Director Abdullah Al Arefin said that a three-member committee, headed by the additional deputy commissioner, has been formed to investigate the incident. He said the committee has been asked to submit its report within three days.

Officer-in-Charge of Kaliakoir Police Station AFM Nasim said action will be taken against those who are accused in the incident.

Al least 32 people are now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
