Minor child dies from electrocution in Shariatpur

A minor child died from electrocution in Shariatpur's Sadar upazila on Saturday morning.

The dead was Sumaia, 4, daughter of Manik Kaji, hailed from Kaji Kandi area under Binodpur union.

According to locals, the child came in contact with an electric wire while she was walking in her room, leaving her injured.

Family members rescued her and took to hospital where she was declared dead.

Palang Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mejbah Uddin Ahmed confirmed it.
