Nagad, a leading mobile financial service provider in Bangladesh, has created an exciting offer for millions of devout Muslims to visit Makkah and Madina in the holy month of Ramadan.

To stand a chance of going on the pilgrimage, customers need to make any transactions, such as mobile recharge, payments, and add-money from cards or banks, using the Nagad Islamic app or by dialling *167#. There is no minimum limit of transactions to avail of the offer.

Starting 12 March 2024, the campaign will remain valid until further notice. Only an active and full-profile Islamic account is a must to be eligible for this gift, says a press release.

A Nagad Islamic customer, selected for this religious journey to Makkah and Madina, will be notified within the next 15 working days via a phone call or an SMS, and he or she must be present at a specific place on a specific date for receiving the gift.

If someone fails to follow the process, they will no longer be eligible for the gift. A nominated Nagad Islamic customer can get the opportunity to win this gift once during the whole campaign period.

The selected travel agency will be responsible for the Makkah-Madina visit and all relevant services during the tour, while Nagad Islamic as a payment service provider will be liable for winner selection and announcement.

Mohammad Aminul Haque, member of Shariah Supervisory Committee of Nagad Islamic and additional managing director of Nagad Ltd., "Nagad was the first to introduce Islamic MFS for customers who want to manage their funds in an interest-free manner, maintaining their religious values and principles. We have now launched this new campaign to fulfill their wish of visiting Makkah and Madina."

In keeping with the Sariah-based lifestyle, the Nagad Islamic account came into operation in 2019, enabling devout Muslims to park interest-free deposits in it, make payments for Hajj and Umrah travels, give Islamic Jibon Bima premium, and calculate and donate Zakat.

Besides, they can enjoy many other Islamic services, such as prayer times, the Ramadan calendar, and Quran and Hadith with Bangla translations.
