Prof Alamgir Kabir appointed as JU new proctor

Prof Mohammad Alamgir Kabir of the Statistics and Data Science Department has been temporarily appointed as the new proctor of Jahangirnagar University (JU).

An office order signed by JU registrar Md Abu Hasan confirmed the appointment on Monday.
"Accepting the resignation letter of Associate Prof A S M Firoz Ul Hasan, JU authorities appointed Prof Alamgir Kabir as the new proctor of the university.

He will hold office until issuing further notification in this regard," the office order read.
 
Prof Alamgir Kabir is replacing the outgoing Proctor Associate Prof A S M Firoz Ul Hasan of the Government and Politics Department of the university.
