World Water Day observed in Shariatpur

The World Water Day-2024 was observed in Shariatpur district on Friday as elsewhere across the country.

This year's theme of the World Water Day is 'Water for Peace'.
On the occasion, a rally was bought out in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office and ended at the same place after parading the important streets this morning.

After the rally, a discussion was held at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner’s office.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md. Saifuddin Gias addressed the function as the chief guest with Executive Engineer of Shariatpur Water Development Board SM Ahsan Habib in the chair.

Executive Engineer of the Department of Public Health Engineering Fazlul Haque and Engineer Rakib Hossain, among others, were present.
