Following his arrest on Thursday, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal was on Friday produced at Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi.

Producing Kejriwal before the court, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) said that Arvind Kejriwal was the "kingpin" behind the alleged Delhi liquor scam.
The ED claimed that the case against Kejriwal involves suspected corruption and money laundering related to the formulation and execution of the Delhi government's excise policy for 2021-22, which was later revoked.

According to the ED, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders allegedly received kickbacks totalling Rs 100 crores in connection with the excise policy.

In reponse to the charges of ED, Kejriwal's counsel told the ED, "You (ED) want me to stop from fighting Lok Sabha elections?"

The Delhi CM was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi excise policy case on Thursday night. This is the most high-profile arrest in the case and makes him the first sitting chief minister to be arrested.
